Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

As the leader of our nation, it behooves you to behave presidentially and yet, time and again, you choose to do otherwise, embarrassing yourself and the people you claim to represent. Millions of children look to you as their ideal, as the man who will stand up for them, as a man they can admire, but this week you proved to them you are not worth admiring. You showed them you are not a leader, but, rather, a bully, not a dignitary but, rather, a foul-mouthed racist. How devastating to those children, how hurtful to their young spirits to know you think so little of people who do not look or think like you.

The United States has been a beacon of light and hope, a nation of kindness and moral righteousness until your regime. The entire world is looking at you and wondering what is wrong with you, what is wrong with the US for electing you. Your credibility has eroded, which has eroded the credibility of this great nation.

As a citizen born and raised in the United States of America, as a white Christian, I am heartbroken to see and hear what you believe, to see and hear what you aim to destroy. I am appalled by your misuse of this nation’s natural resources, its governing agencies, and its power.

But let me remind you, Mr. President, money never trumps people. People never trump God and you, sir, may never Trump the United States of America, for we the people have the vote and when we vote, we will say to you and your accomplices…Time’s Up.
